Yoshi has always been a natural at “getting the word out”, although she worked in many industries before finding one of her true callings as a publicist.  Yoshi’s career began on the trading floor in corporate America as a sales assistant at Bankers Trust.  After a three and one-half year stint, a then-brand new industry caught her eye: the Internet.  Yoshi worked with various top companies in the interactive world including DoubleClick, Grey Interactive and Morgan Stanley in positions ranging from interactive marketing associate, new business associate to website strategic analyst.  Due to her sheer know-how in the interactive world, Yoshi was eventually offered the position as president of NaomiSimms.com, a top cosmetic company.  Her stay there was exciting but short due to budgetary constraints. 

After all this wonderful experience, Yoshi knew it was time to launch her own website.  ShadesofWoman.com, the first online magazine for women of color featuring fashion, beauty, business and lifestyle sections. received a whopping 605,000 hits its first month on the Internet!  Yoshi realized that although ShadesofWoman.com was a unique site, it was its publicity elements that catapulted it to broad recognition. 

Therefore, she started helping other businesses with their publicity.  Yoshi realized that helping others with their publicity struggles was not only a talent but a gift.  She realized that her ability to conceptualize the strategy a single company should be using was unique and should not be some template used for any business.
