Where does Wendy get her Knowledge?
Wendy realized, way back in her restaurant management days, that she had a knack for supporting others toward living their dreams. When she went to work for Neill Corporation in 1991 and quickly reached a million dollars in sales with Aveda, (that is a lot of shampoo!) she knew that building relationships and helping people reach their personal and professional goals came naturally to her.
She received her professional coaching certification from The Coaches Training Institute in 2001 and her accreditation from the International Coaching Federation in 2003. She completed the Co-Active Leadership program in 2003. She also created her own company, PassionFruit Creative People Growers, in 2003.
As a life long learner, she received her certification as a Strategic Attraction Coach in 2005 and completed the Lucid Living Core program on 2007. She continues her learning with Lucid Living and is currently enrolled in a year-long coaching program with Greg Habsritt of Calgary, Canada. Did we mention the stack of books that Wendy devours, and the pod casts that she listens to and the enriching weekly conversations she has with her MasterMind group?

Georgia Coach Association: This is a community of the most generous professionals that you can find. Wendy has been a member since 2000 and was on the board as VP of Community Service in 2001. The monthly meetings not only provides continuing education, it keeps her connected to her colleagues.

DBA’s mission is to support the businesses and community of Decatur in prospering and enjoying the feel of this lovely city. Being involved with DBA allows Wendy to honor her values of community, contribution and fun!
PowerCore: Wendy joined PowerCore as a networking opportunity in October of 2006. She thought it would be a great way to not only build her business, but to help other’s build their business as well. She was right. She has not only prospered professionally, she has made some wonderful friends from this group. As the Visitor Coordinator in 2007, she supported the team by making visitors feel at home, definitely one of her strengths.
What does Wendy do when she is not working?
She loves spending time in the outdoors with her husband Matt and their dog Abbey Road. You may find them hiking locally at Sweetwater Creek Park or on a road trip to spend the weekend in Bryson City or Asheville, NC. They also go to the LEAF festival twice a year. This is a much deserved break in their busy lives. Traveling is their passion, as well as spending time with family and friends, seeing live events and eating delicious food.
Cycling is Wendy's latest passion. She is currently training to do a century (100 miles) ride in fall of 2009. She loves a personal challenge and ran the Peachtree Road Race in Atlanta in 2007, and the Avon Breast Cancer 3-Day Walk in 2000 and was then on the crew. Her niece Emily and nephew Jake raise her joy factor and bring out the child in her.
