Tom Redding

Tom Redding was born and has spent his life in California (you will learn later why this is important).  He shares his life with Marie Angeloni in Rancho Cordova, a suburb of Sacramento.  Tom has one son, Marc, who is married to his Stacey and they have one son Justin.

Tom is a co-founder in Axxiom Franchise Advisors,LLC, but the road to this stage in his life has been varied.  Tom spent three years in the Army, one of which was as a door gunner on a helicopter in Viet Nam.  Upon returning from the military, Tom attended college and graduated with a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from California State University, Fresno.

Tom spent the first six years of his career in the accounting field before venturing out to start his first business.  ‘Tom opened Applications Systems Group, a software company that developed and sold accounting applications.  Tom’s second venture began in 1980 when he purchased a Dunhill Personnel franchise and became an Executive Recruiter.  Moving to Sacramento in 1985, Tom sold the Dunhill franchise and opened an independent recruiting agency.  Tiring of the recruiting industry in 1996, Tom and a partner opened Centurion Solutions, a software company that developed and sold applications to law enforcement.

Tom sold his share of Centurion Solutions in 2002 and began researching his next venture.  Armed with a great background in accounting, technology, sales, marketing, human resources and management, Tom began researching the Internet for his next venture.  Not knowing where the research would take him; Tom knew he had the desire to help people realize the “American Dream” of business ownership.  Tom possessed a varied background that allowed him to mentor other people over the years to start their own business.  He also had the unique perspective of an Executive Recruiter, who had heard many people over the years state “I would go into my own business if I only knew what to do”.

The Internet research led Tom to discover the franchise brokering industry.  Having owned a franchise, Tom knew immediately that this was the right choice for him.  He formed Franchise Resources in 2003 and became an independent affiliate of a national franchise brokerage company.  Early in the new start-up Tom met another franchise broker, Bill King who owned Franchise Career Consultants in Atlanta, GA.  Tom and Bill worked together albeit independently for over three years where they not only helped people buy their own franchise opportunities, but they also trained and mentored other franchise brokers.  In their effort to help other franchise brokers become better trained they organized a training event in Dallas, Texas.  They brought franchise brokers and franchise companies together to educate each side on how to work together towards the common goal of insuring the prospective franchisees where successful in purchasing the right franchise.

The result of the show in Dallas was that several of the prominent franchise companies convinced Tom & Bill that they should start their own national franchise brokerage company.   Having been successful in other businesses, they felt the timing was right and they co-founded Axxiom Franchise Advisors, LLC.   As with all new companies, you must establish the company headquarters and the organization structure.  Over 80 franchise companies have their corporate headquarters in Atlanta, therefore, it made sense that we headquarter Axxiom Franchise Advisors, LLC in Atlanta.  Then, we had to develop the organizational structure.  Now, you will understand why I emphasized my living in California.  I not only live in California, but I adhere to the life style.  I live year long in Hawaiian shirts and shorts!  Bill on the other hand lives in a much more conservative city, plus he spent many years in the men’s apparel business.   The deciding factor for the organizational structure was that Bill owned a suit; hence he became the Chief Executive Officer.  I gave up my suits when I left the accounting field; therefore I am the Chief Operations Officer.

Axxiom Franchise Advisors, LLC helps people make the right decision when buying a business.  My experience tells me that most people should buy a franchise if they are looking to go into business for themselves.  The franchise company has proven that the model works by duplicating it many times throughout the nation.  They have developed the systems and the training to make their franchisees successful.  The key is determining which franchise is right for our clients.  This is accomplished by a detailed assessment that profiles the lifestyle needs, business goals and financial requirements of out clients; then presenting franchise opportunities that match the profile.

Axxiom Franchise Advisors, LLC is always looking for qualified individuals that are looking for a rewarding career where you can help people achieve the “American Dream”.  If you would like to find out more about becoming an Axxiom Advisor; click here Axxiom Advisor.
