Owner Noland Suttles Salon

A native of Atlanta, Todd Suttles has been working as a stylist for over 20 years. He has had the good fortune to have trained under some of Atlanta’s best stylists beginning in 1977 with Donald Trammel owner of Donald’s at Phipps and concluding in 1992 after five years employment as a Senior Stylist and Design Team Member at Carter Barnes. He is especially grateful for the training and support he received while working for Carrie Carter who freely gave of his knowledge and experience. While working at Carter Barnes he attained a position as L’Oreal International Platform Artist, one of only ten in the country at that time; he has represented L’Oreal as an educator at trade shows and seminars in virtually every state

In 1992, Todd left Carter Barnes to open Noland Suttles Salon; he also decided at that time to resign his position with L’Oreal out of respect to Carrie Carter who had been responsible for Todd’s introduction to L’Oreal. Todd then aligned himself with the Wella Corporation as an International Design Team Member and continued to educate stylists in the US and Europe for another three years. In 1996, he resigned from his commitments to Wella to devote his full attention to his then still new salon. During his employment with Wella Todd worked with other well known artists such as Christopher and Sonya Dove, Bumble & Bumble, Frederic Fekkai, The Mario Tricossi Team, and Peter Genaue. Todd attributes all his talents and accomplishments to the generous support and training he received from these people and a long list of others far too long to name here.

Todd’s passion for his craft is fueled by being the son of two professional artists and growing up in an artistic environment. This same synchronicity continues to fuel his passion to this day. He especially loves the process of creating an exterior artistic expression for each of his clients that suite his/her individual personality. His favorite medium for this expression is the use of hair color combined with artistic, balanced forms created through precise hair cutting.

Another contributor to his passion is the hair he has done for print in leading fashion magazines and editorials, many of which are represented in the salon web gallery.
