President of Meridian Consulting Group LLC, and Associate of International Energy Insurance Brokers, Inc Tad is a highly experienced and globally respected expert in risk finance and solutions in the Energy & Marine / Oil & Gas industries. He is known for insightful exposure analysis and innovative approaches to problem solving. Through his experience living in exotic places throughout the world, Tad has acquired a sense of the spirit of life and an appreciation for the richness of different cultures. He has learned to think outside the box and has developed insight and business acumen rare to the industry.
The insurance centers throughout the US, London, Europe, the Middle East and the Far East taught Tad over his 30-year career to cultivate strong client and market relationships in major risk management. Tad has enjoyed learning about people in these parts of the world and with them, has created deep and long-lasting friendships.
Tad has held executive positions at insurance brokers including Marsh, as a Managing Director of Marsh Marine & Energy Inc., and Minet Inc, where he was President of Marine, Energy & Construction brokerage operations. His first boss was a woman who taught him to follow his instincts and trust in his talents even in the most difficult of situations, and to laugh at himself.
A Board Member of the International Energy Credit Association, he also holds memberships in the National Energy Credit Association and the Responsible Business Association of Boston. He has been an invited speaker at seminars held by the Petroleum Institute (University of Texas), the London College, and the Saudi Arabian Monetary Fund. A registered broker at Lloyds of London and a licensed Property, Casualty, Life & Health and Annuity broker with a specialty in Environmental, Energy & Marine risks, Tad holds a BS in Finance and Insurance from Rider University and an MBA in Business Administration and Finance from Adelphi University.
In addition to his professional activities Tad has been actively involved with solutions for the homeless, in particular with respect to children of the homeless and in using the arts to facilitate inner city children's growth. He has actively been involved in Bright Horizons, Artists for Humanity, Friends of Boston’s Homeless, Children's Hospital, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston. In addition Tad is an active investor in KIVA which is the group facilitating micro-lending to individuals worldwide to help promote sustainable economies one individual at a time.
