Steve Rae

Steve is an entrepreneurial leader with over twenty years of experience in implementing innovation and change.   With this experience, he has recently founded a new company, ConnectEdPlanet, focused on accellerating human accomplishment through enhanced people to people connections.  He is a avid proponent of  the human side of computing, and how technology can be a catalyst in driving stronger interpersonal linkages that drive vital, performance oriented cultures, better learning, and accelerated results. 

He is focused on new technologies that can be exploited to provide exciting, new solutions for business, education, and any type of computer based social interaction. With his newly formed business, he is keen on working with clients that share a vision for how technology and social networks can break down traditional barriers to performance, and transform how people have context based interactions across the world.

Prior to ConnectEdPlanet, Steve was a 10 year Vice President for IBM, leading complex acquisition integrations, and most recently as world wide Vice President of services for Learning Solutions, an innovation team that was focused on targeting new growth opportunities in Learning by helping organizations exploit these emerging trends. Steve has also served as Director of Development for Learning Services, where he was responsible for the development of a worldwide network of Knowledge Factories, services teams around the world that customize and deliver tailored learning content solutions to clients. 

Steve is also the founder and partner of VantagePoint Centers, which was responsible for launching a brand new concept business café and meeting center located in Alpharetta.  This business is poised to grow nationally, providing exciting new options for teleworkers, businesses, and entrepreneurs to meet, network, work, and grow their businesses. 

Steve’s entrepreneurial passion  is anchored in a wide range of international experiences growing up, and is focused on providing meaningful innovation that benefits his customers.  Steve is an active member in a number of entrepreneurial networking groups in Atlanta.
