After graduating from Ohio University, he spent 2-1/2 years as a reporter for the Bay City Times and Saginaw News in Michigan before joining the Detroit Edison Co., where he helped establish a weekly employee newspaper. He worked at J. Walter Thompson and Burson Marsteller in New York before turning to magazine editing - Electric Perspectives, World Construction and Mining Equipment International. He has been on his own in the PR biz since 1983.

Stan loves to travel and take pictures whenever he can, and his goal is to learn how to use Photoshop to make his pictures much, much better.

A Couple of Cool Stories
Stan was assistant editor of Detroit Edison today when the 1973 gas crisis hit. He wrote a column about his thwarted efforts to use public transportation and advertised for carpool partners. One fellow employee took him up on his offer. They were reunited through the Asheville Jewish Business Forum 34 years later.

In the summer of 1978, Stan set off to work his way around the world as a freelance writer for industrial trade journals. He never made it all the way around, but he did spend 2-1/2 weeks in Iran, including a visit to a copper mine for an article.
