SHIRLEY PARKER LUNDY

                           Back Where it All Began

Shirley Parker Lundy was born in the small town of Dyess, Arkansas.

This is the same town where Johnny Cash was born. Dyess is mentioned in the movie WALK THE LINE, a film about the life of Johnny Cash. Dyess annually sponsors a CASH WELCOME HOME CONCERT in early May.

Shirley attended Arkansas State University located in Jonesboro,Arkansas.

Upon leaving ASU, Shirley moved to Memphis,Tenessee.

Memphis ,a short drive from Dyess, is where Johnny Cash first met fellow music legend Elvis Presley at the now famous SUN STUDIOS.

Memphis is also home of Graceland and world famous Beale Street located close to the historic Peabody Hotel where the famous Peabody Ducks march out to the fountain on a regular basis.

                         Time In Memphis, Tennessee

Shirley's first job in Memphis was working as a secretary in the School of Business at the University of Memphis.

She later worked in the marketing division of Holiday Inns of America.

Upon leaving Holiday Inns of America, Shirley began her long career with Federal Express, also located in Memphis.

FORTUNE magazine and a number of other well known publications have consistantly listed FedEx as one of the top employee friendly companies.

Shirley Lundy has worked at FedEx for over 27 years. During her first few years, she worked in various positions of the company. For the past 18 years, Shirley Lundy has worked in Air Operations. Her first 7 years was as a Crew Scheduler. For over 11 years, she has been a Flight Training Scheduler. Shirley schedules pilots for their training flights all over the world.

While most people do not think of FedEx as being an airline, it is actually one of the largest airlines in the world. The difference is FedEx carries only packages; not people.

                          Outside Of Work

When Shirley Lundy retires, she plans to turn her embroidery hobby into a business.

Shirley's Stitches does custom embroidery for schools,businesses,various baby and pet items to mention a few.
