SHERYL VAUGHN, LPC, NBCC

Sheryl Vaughn is a Board Certified Licensed Professional Counselor and has her Master degree in Psychology/Counseling Specialty from Argosy University in Atlanta, GA.  She received her undergraduate degree from Kennesaw State University in Public and Social Services and has been working in the Human Services field for over 17 years. In 2001, Sheryl received her certification from the National Center of Professional Competence through the Georgia Academy (1 0f 8 in the nation).  Sheryl has her own business based in Cobb County called “StraightTalk Life Skills Education & Counseling.”  Sheryl is active in her church and community.

Sheryl has been working with substance abusers and homeless to median income families through conducting Life Skills classes, individuals and groups counseling, for non-profit and profit organizations in Cobb, Cherokee, Dawson, Dekalb, Douglas, Floyd, Fulton, Paulding, and Polk counties. Sheryl’s mission is to encourage individuals, families and communities to develop skills, attitudes and habits that are practical, appropriate and healthy.  Sheryl believes “We live out the pictures we embrace.”   --John Posey
