Scott A. Hill, Senior VP/CFO Intercontinental Exchange (ICE)
Scott Hill is Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of IntercontinentalExchange (NYSE: ICE). Scott joined ICE in May 2007 from IBM and is responsible for all aspects of ICE's finance and accounting functions, treasury, tax, audit and controls, mergers and acquisitions, business development, human resources and investor relations. He also has responsibility for the company’s global clearing operations, including its credit default swap (CDS) clearing houses, which have cleared more than $14 trillion in gross notional value since ICE launched CDS clearing in March of 2009.
Scott held a number of financial and strategic roles during his 16-year career at IBM. From 2005-2007, he served as Assistant Controller, Financial Forecasts and Measurements, where he oversaw IBM's worldwide financial performance working with all global business units and geographies. From 2003-2005, Scott served as Vice President and Controller of IBM Japan where he was responsible for all financial planning and measurements, accounting, pricing and business controls for the $12 billion IBM Japan business operations. From 2002-2003, Scott served as Assistant Controller, Financial Strategy and Budgets, where he was responsible for developing and refining IBM's financial model and leading annual and strategic planning cycles.
In 2009, Scott was named Atlanta Business Chronicle’s “CFO of the Year” in recognition of his achievements in the role and his contributions to ICE’s success. Also in 2009, Fortune magazine named ICE as the fastest growing company in the Financial Services category. In 2010, Scott was named CFO of the Year by the CFO Roundtable Atlanta Advisory Board.
A native of Texas, Scott earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from The University of Texas and completed a Master of Business Administration at the Stern School of Business at New York University. He is married and has two children.
