Trilateral Leadership Ledger

The Trilateral Leadership Ledger(TLL) comes from the #1 best selling book Launching A Leadership Revolution and is written by authors Orrin Woodward and Chris Brady. The ability to clearly define leadership abilities in the areas of Character, Tasks and Relationships is exciting and innovative. If you look at why individuals, groups, teams or corporations fail, it is because they ignored at least one of these areas.
The power of the individual or team is the product of the three categories and is called the Leadership Effectiveness. There is a twofold benefit within the TLL. It can not only show what your strengths are, it can also clearly show you what areas you need to improve. I have heard much about focusing only on your strengths but Chris Brady said it best, "you can't ignore your weaknesses because no one else does". The most effective and efficient leader is one who is balanced in ALL three areas or character, tasks and relationships.
The TLL is simple and ingenious. Each category; character, tasks and relationships, consists of a series of keywords. These keywords are rated as 0 being never, to 10 being always. The lowest scored keyword is what the individual or team should focus on improving in a given time frame. If the action is taken to improve in the keyword and the results prove implementation, the score for that keyword goes up. The next lowest keyword is then focused on and improved, and the improvement cycle continues.
All great leaders continue in such an improvement cycle for all their lives. The power of the TLL is in its ability to take the guesswork out of how effective a persons “soft skills” are. It is these abilities that allow a person to move up the corporate levels or be more successful in business.
Have you ever been to training or had a team trained in an exciting team setting. Then a month or two later, the excitement is gone and the team is back in stagnant mode. This is kind of like going on a diet. We have formulated a comprehensive and cost effective training plan that will keep the team communicating and sharing ideas and personal growth stories. It truly harnesses the power of the team. We rely on a duplicate-able system of books, cds and association, therefore an expensive trainer/consultant and/or offsite space or travel is eliminated. For a YEAR of comprehensive materials and training the cost is less than $1500.
