He is also a member of the Troop 430 Committee where he serves as Merit Badge Counselor, Advancement Chairman and Troop Treasurer. His high adventure and special events include Philmont Scout Ranch (5 times), Lenhok’sin High Adventure Trail (3 times), the 1993 National Scout Jamboree (as First Assistant Scoutmaster), the Camp Daniel Boone Llama Trek, the Florida Sea Base, the 1997 National Scout Jamboree (as Scoutmaster), the High Knoll Trail, 2001 National Scout Jamboree (Staff), and the Philmont Training Center (2 times). He holds the Unit Scouter Award, Scouter’s Training Award, Arrowhead Honor Award, Scouter’s Key, Commissioner’s Honor Award, Distinguished Commissioner Award, District Award of Merit, Doctor of Commissioner Science, Silver Beaver Award, and Woodbadge. He is James E. West Fellow and is a member of the Scouting Heritage Society. As a youth, he became an Eagle Scout and a Silver Award Explorer. He has been an active scouter in the Tri-State Area Council, the Bluegrass Council, the Baltimore Area Council and the Atlanta Area Council. In his other life, Dr. Paul Michael Davis is Professor Emeritus of Accounting at the University of Baltimore. He also was Professor of Accounting at the University of Kentucky. Dr. Davis holds the B.B.A. degree from the University of Cincinnati, the M.A. degree from the University of Florida, the Ph.D. degree from the University of Illinois, the J.D. degree from the University of Kentucky, and the LL.M. degree from Boston University. He is the author or co-author of over 50 articles, books and monographs. Dr. Davis is a Certified Public Accountant in the States of Florida and Maryland and is a member of the Kentucky, Tax Court, Federal, and Supreme Court Bars. He retired in 1999 and relocated to the Atlanta area. February 25, 2008
