Meet Michael Davis...

Michael Davis is the Managing Director of MJD Management Group, LLC. MJD Management Group provides management consulting services globally to multi-national corporations, government agencies, and nonprofit corporations.

MJD Management Group is a results-based organization that measures success based upon exceeding client expectations by generating new business value through the use of innovative strategies for on-time and under budget delivery for each engagement.

Mr. Davis is an accomplished executive with more than twenty years of international, cross-industry experience working across cultures, developing partnerships, and increasing the corporate reach globally.  Michael is recognized as a master strategist and innovative new business leader and visionary with a successful history of implementing complex business solutions that reduce costs and provide incremental revenue growth.

Mr. Davis is an actively engaged consultant who is invited as a subject matter expert on business, technology, and emerging trends for panel discussions. Mr. Davis is in the planning stages of a book on how to turn crisis customer business situations into revenue and a thought leadership podcast series that will share the opinions and ideas of a diverse set of leaders.

Prior to MJD Management Group, Michael worked at Hewlett Packard Company for seven years in several organizational leadership roles with P&L responsibilities.  While leading an Operational Excellence discipline including an ITIL outsourcing consulting team, Mr. Davis was appointed by senior leadership to develop a Six Sigma-based solution assessment and improvement methodology and lead a regional business consulting practice to improve client loyalty and C-level partnership in the Latin American and Caribbean. 

Philanthropy

Mr. Davis co-founded Wonderland Gardens, a 501(c)3 organization with the  mission to create a self-sustaining greenspace destination and community resource that connects people to nature.

Mr. Davis is an active Kiva lender. Kiva's mission is to connect people, through lending, for the sake of alleviating poverty. Kiva empowers individuals to lend to an entrepreneur across the globe. By combining microfinance with the internet, Kiva is creating a global community of people connected through lending.

Michael works with non profit organizations to assist them by providing turn key solutions with fundraising opportunities such as Travel Extravaganza and 30piecesof gold.

The 30 pieces of gold fundraiser proivdes a church or non profti the ability with 3 weeks of promotion and on a 1 day fundraiser to infuse a local community with $25,000 (50 participants) - $50,000 (100 participants) - event $150,000 or more (300 participants or more) in spendable income for the local businesses without selling gifts, premiums, or other takeways

Michael has worked for many years in his community as a citizen leader for transportation, zoning, economic development, and quality of life issues.  Mr. Davis has been appointed by Fulton County Board of Commissioners to Atlanta/Fulton County Library Blue Ribbon Study Commission and he participated in the Envoy Program for the XXVI Olympiad (1996 Summer Olympics) with the Dominican Republic Delegation.  He is a Green Energy Council Ambassador and has a Energy and Sustainability certification and an Energy Assessment certification.

Education and Awards

Michael holds a BBA in Management Information Systems from the Terry School of Business at the University of Georgia and an Executive MBA from the Goizueta Business School at Emory University.  While attending Goizueta, Mr. Davis was the recipient of the 2009 Goizueta Business School Al Bows Outstanding Executive MBA Achievement Award and is an active alumnus serving as class gift steering Committee Chairman and as a mentor in the Emory Alumni protégé program.

Michael is the recipient of numerous leadership, excellence, and achievement awards.  These awards include: 2005 HP Technology Solutions Group MVP Award Medal, 2005 Q2 Self Directed Team Award Winner, 2005 Storage Works Division Coming Together Teamwork Award, 2002 & 2001 Outstanding Achievement Award, 2000 Customer Advocate Award, 2000 Challenge 2000 Corporate Strategic Direction Member, and 1998 VP Commitment to Excellence Award.

Mr. Davis enjoys competitive tennis, international travel, photography, SCUBA, cycling, gardening, music, and ostrich riding. Michael lives in Atlanta, GA with his wife, daughter, and Bouvier dog. Mr. Davis can be reached at:
