Matthew Klidjian

Matthew serves as the owner of Ascot Diamonds, Atlanta’s premier group of private jewelers.  A diamond industry expert with over a decade of experience in buying and servicing diamonds and fine jewelry, Matthew embodies the true entrepreneurial spirit.  He started in the industry with a large diamond wholesale house by servicing retail stores throughout the Unites States.  As he worked with these customers, he perceived the need to establish a niche jewelry company which could provide top quality jewelry for appreciable value.  His vision led to the creation of Ascot Diamonds, now with additional offices in Arlington, Virginia and Dallas, Texas.  Collectively, the Ascot team of private jewelers has earned over 200 five-star online reviews from satisfied customers around the world. 

Although Ascot has primarily grown through referrals, the company has recently gained a great deal of attention outside of their existing client circle as more and more people realize the value of having their own private jeweler.  Ascot’s well-earned reputation for world class design and craftsmanship under the Catherine Ryder brand is recognized as one of the best kept gems around the country and beyond. 

Matthew matches his passion for diamonds and jewelry with his other interests.  Inspired by the United States Olympic hockey team’s remarkable gold medal in 1980, Matthew has always been an avid sports fan.  This passion eventually manifested itself in a career in sports management and marketing.  Matthew worked for several years in professional hockey and Major League Soccer, highlighted by winning the league championship as team President while with the South Carolina Stingrays of the East Coast Hockey League.  At the time, he was the youngest President of any North American professional sports team.  An avid outdoorsman, Matthew and his wife, Naomi, share a passion for snow skiing, water skiing, SCUBA diving, gardening and boating.  They are often escorted on their activities by their black Labrador retriever (Belle), beagle (Redford) and newborn baby girl, Ava Catherine.
