Karen was born and educated in Birmingham, AL and earned her BSc by working in Restaurant/Hospitality industry.   She met her husband Rick (a true Aussie) in 1989 in London while traveling around the globe. She has been in Atlanta since 1983. Rick and Karen married in 1992 and they, along with their "child" Beamer (an adorable Bichon Frise) live in Decatur/Northlake area.

Karen has held a variety of customer care and service oriented positons, including Retail Manager and Buyer for an upscale Buckhead boutique called Classic Crystal in Atlanta, Operations Manager for The Atlanta School of Massage, Bartender/Waitress/Trainer for various establishments since her college days until she "retired" from the Restaurant industry forever in 1992. She is a retired Neuro-Muscular Massage Therapist who ran her own successful practice from 1995-2002 integrating advanced bodywork tecniques along with energy work. She has been associated with
RE/MAX Greater Atlanta  since 2002 as both a REALTOR® and Associated Broker. She, along with her partners, John Damiano and Claxton Underwood, established a partnership in 2003 as The Providence Group .

She is a past president of Business Networking International, has achieved Lifetime status in the Million Dollar Club, 100% Club, Executive Club. The Providence Group was recognized by Communities Magazine as one of the Top 100 Teams in Metro Atlanta in “2006” & "2007". Karen sits on the Professional and Standards Committee of the
Atlanta Board of REALTORS  (ABR), is a member of Buffini & Company (the world's largest Coaching Company) Buffini and Co's Advisory Board, has been a "Small Group" Leader for one of Buffini & Co.'s 160+ small groups across the US and is on the board of The Jewish National Fund. She volunteers regularly for One Good Deed which helps the Elderly and those in need in Decatur and surrounding areas.
