A Well-Seasoned Preacher with a Compassionate Heart!

John Posey is a well-seasoned preacher of the gospel with a heart to expand the influence of the Kingdom of the Living God! “The Video Preacher’s” journey begins with answering the call to preach at age sixteen. He preached his trial sermon on December 31, 1975. His first message to the church was 1 Corinthians 10:31, So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.   He has tried his best to live by this verse.  John says, “If it is not for the glory of God, then it is not worth doing at all.”

Pearline’s Baby Boy!

As an infant, (born August 25,1959) John’s mother, Pearline Posey Jones, caught the bus to her church and placed John on the holy altars of God, saying, "Lord, I am going to have to work 16 hours per day to get my family {6 children} out of the projects. I am not going to be there for my baby boy, so I am asking You to take him, protect him and watch over him.  He is Yours, Lord!” “This was my beginning,” John says, "so what else was I supposed to do, other than preach the gospel?”

Preaching the gospel and making disciples has led John on many adventures around the country and in some parts of the world (so far!). He has been privileged to have been under the tutelage of some of the greatest leaders and ministers of the gospel in his circles. With the help of his mentors, John has raised up many ministers of the gospel, many Christian leaders, and has planted a local church in the Atlanta area (Zoe Christian Fellowship City Church). He is currently overseeing this church along with two others, and has also raised up a bible school designed to launch over twenty more churches in the greater Atlanta area.

John has his sight set for two additional cities where he and his company will plant twenty churches in each of these cities as the Lord leads. “I have a heavenly vision burning in my belly! I will not be disobedient to it; I must fulfill the will of God.” Acts 26:19, “Therefore, King Agrippa, I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision.”  John concludes, “It is with this heavenly vision that I run this race.  I am in it to win it in Jesus’ name! My God will always lead me into triumph.   2 Corinthians 2:14, But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumphal procession in Christ and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of him. One of John's favorite saying is "It my ball, my bat, my backyard, my game, I play TILL I win!!!

“God has Always Spoken to me in Decades”

Because of John’s vast ministry experience and expertise, over the next decade he will focus in three specific areas of ministry effectiveness. One: Developing resources.  John is a prolific writer with a deep-impact writing style with laser precision that gets to the core issues of the heart. No one who reads John’s material can remain the same! God has blessed John Posey with a very creative and innovative mind, to create resources designed to impact generations for Christ Jesus. He is also in the process of creating an Internet-based e-Book publishing company to avail everyone with anointed books and to share them with the world.

Two: Developing leaders. John says, “To reach this 21st century generation, we need young 21st century leadership.” For this reason John has founded M.E.D.S. School of Ministry. Ministry Education and Development System (M.E.D.S.) is crafted to develop ministers of the gospel from the inside out. The tabernacle of Moses was built from the inside out—from the Ark of the Covenant to the outer court furniture. A preacher must be built no differently. In order to last in this wicked day, a preacher must be healthy in all areas of his/her life to finish the will of God. This is my quest for M.E.D.S.: A healthy minister will build a healthy ministry.” In addition to M.E.D.S., John reaches into small and medium-sized churches for the purpose of creating a leadership culture. Three: Developing churches. It is John’s passion to plant churches, collaborating with other church-planting organizations and networks. It is also in his heart to build lasting relationships with key churches and their pastors to build the House of God in quality and quantity. “No pastor should stand alone in his ministry,” John says, “It is in my bowels of compassion to be a friend to as many pastors that will accept my friendship. I want to stand with them as I have had men of God stand with me. No man of God should be ALONE!”

These three missions represent the culmination of John’s experience and training. “I am ready to move into the next phase of my ministry. I am ready to build with greater skill the Kingdom of my Father God and his Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, with the help of the Holy Spirit, my friend and companion.”

John Posey is a member of the Atlanta Business League, Leadership Cobb Alumni Association and a Graduate of Leadership Cobb 2006. John is also a member of the One Ninety One Club and the Atlanta Society Club .  John understands that the key to success in business is your ability to build strategic alliances and collaborations with individuals who are wealthy in "social capital".

Ministry Associations and Education

John is a member in good standing with the Righteous Preachers Network, 7000 More Covenant Churches and Ministries, RHEMA Ministerial Association International and is also a leading minister in Church Builders International.

John has an associate in Electrical Engineering, a Bachelor in Pastor Theology and a Master's in Pastoral Theology. John is currently in the midst of his Doctoral work. He has taken numerous courses, classes and workshops earning certificates and certifications ranging from business management and leadership to life coaching and streaming media consulting. John believes the key to fulfilling your dreams is to grow into them

Lastly, John holds a fifth-degree black belt (master level) in Moo Duk Kwan, Tang Soo Do Martial Arts with the National Black Belt Karate Association.
 

Family Life

John and Sandra (wife of 30 years) are the proud parents of three daughters: Rhea, Tasha and Alexus, one son “in love”, Deonte Saunders (married to Alexus) and VERY proud grandparents of Zoe Alexandria Saunders.
