John Hicks | Overland Park, KS
John Hicks is an attorney whose civil trial practice emphasizes the areas of professional negligence, premises liability and personal injury. John has significant trial experience participating in more than twenty jury trials in Missouri and Kansas. Three of these cases, Marion v. Lackamp, M.D., et al., Pitts v. McKittrick, M.D., and Todd v. Lockard, M.D., were recognized by Missouri Lawyer's Weekly as some of the top defense verdicts in Missouri.
John graduated from Central Missouri State University in 1998 with a degree in Communications. He received his J.D. from the University of Kansas School of Law in 2001. Upon graduation from law school, John joined the law firm of Norris & Keplinger, LLC and was named partner in January 2009.
John is licensed to practice in the state and federal courts of Kansas and Missouri and is a member of the Missouri Bar, the Kansas Bar Association, the Missouri Organization of Defense Lawyers, Defense Research Institute and the Johnson County Bar Association.
John grew up in Blue Springs, Missouri and now resides in Overland Park, Kansas, with his wife, Dana, and their three children, Michael, Reagan and Emma. He is also active in the Navy League of the United States and Habitat for Humanity.
