Jeffrey Sherman

Got his start as an unpaid intern at South 107.1 FM in Rome, GA. He was putting up carts (what music used to be played on before the advent of the digital age) and messing around with a Bowinkle voice when he was asked if he would do his impression on air at the top of the 5 o’clock hour. This was his first time behind a mic and he realized then that is where he belonged.

After that fateful day, Jeffrey starting learning how to operate the board and cut commercials. As his knowledge grew so did his opportunities at the station. He was asked to come and sit in with the afternoon show a couple more times and finally one day got a chance to board op for his first syndicated show the “Crook and Chase Country Countdown”. After filling in a couple of times the regular person moved on and he picked up his first shift.

For many months he was a quiet person behind the board, until he was given a full shift that included the Country Countdown, another show and a hour of live time on Saturday’s. He finally got a chance to be on air and the adrenaline rush of live radio led to even bigger drive. He filled in on the AM side for a gospel shift and then got the break of a life time when he was offered the opportunity to be the full time overnight jock. While the shift was a national syndicated show and it was mostly board op work it was his first full time position.

After a huge shake up at South 107 he departed to and found a new home at WEBS Radio in Calhoun, GA. He once again found himself operating a board and coordinating many live shows while also having a live hour while working an entire day every Sunday at WEBS. He continued this for close to 6 months before going out and looking for more opportunities to polish his mic presence.

He found that opportunity with his own DJ business doing corporate parties, weddings and reunions. He worked with Team Trivia and Full House Hold’em as a Trivia DJ who at one point had shows on everyday of the week and was constantly asked to fill in when he had an opening.

Now he is the co-host of EndZone to EndZone a football talk radio show that is from 7pm-8pm with host Kita J. He writes his own material and does his own research. He now looks forward to the next step in his career as they move towards 7 days a week and syndication.
