James Dickerson is by all standards a successful man, but no success story begins with success. James' journey began on the Northside of St. Louis, MO "dope dealing and gang banging". When the crack cocaine epidemic broke out in the 80's, James was one of the young black sidewalk pharmaceutical entrepreneurs spreading it. His neighborhood gang was among the first Blood gangs in St.Louis. But James and his friends learned one of life's great lessons the hard way. Namely, fast money and street fame is a short lived reality that leaves the soul void and spirit thirsty. "All it had gotten me was shot" says James who was wounded by gunfire one fateful summer night after a deal went bad. "May 1989 I was shot by 3 armed robbers that nearly left me disabled for life, but God had another plan for me. When I found out how much Jesus loved me and how easy it is to have a relationship with him, I accepted the Lord as my Savior. In turn, He gave back to me full use of my legs  with a fresh start and a new purpose for living". James Dickerson, imbued with a right mental attitude and a second chance, decided to take full advantange of each new day. He was intuitive enough to reinvent his image from the inside out. In his quest for personal growth, James became a student of life and thus a permenant fixture at schools and libraries. He would study success principles and the lives of those who had applied them. Being inquisitive has paid off for James Dickerson.
