Atlanta resident and entrepreneur Gary Gross has been part of the city’s fundraising and charity communities for over 20 years. As Event Chair for the 2001 Cystic Fibrosis “Single Greatest Night,” Mr. Gross coordinated with dozens of vendors and contributors to entertain nearly 2,200 attendees and raise funds in excess of $100,000. He also was the narrator for the events webcast.
Contributing as both Chairperson and Steering Committee Member, he has touched dozens of local and national organizations including just to name a few: Atlanta for America’s Children black tie event, (raising over $150,000 for children of the 9/11 victims); Prevent Child Abuse, Treasure Hunt Gala (2003 ? March of Dimes (Walk/Run); The Foundation for Medically Fragile Children “Fragile Hearts Ball”, American Cancer Society - Cattle Barons Ball, The Shepherd Center Cup, the Policeman's Ball, Childkind, The Cluck-Off for Georgia Transplant Foundation, and Toys for Tots. For the American Cancer Society, he co-chaired the group’s largest event, 3,200 people -- “Party with a Purpose” in 1999, featuring singer Melissa Etheridge.
In addition to hosting “Champagne & Polo”, a fundraising event, Mr. Gross has acted as Executive Producer, writer, and narrator of a corporate video for The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. As a Host for the North Atlanta Towne Club, he helped produce 5 Black Tie fundraising events. He continues to dedicate energy towards fundraising and promotion of charity events, stretching to reach over $3 million in raised contributions since 1974. As an entrepreneur, Mr. Gross has been published in Who’s Who of American Inventors for his patent on a wheelchair accessory.
