Debby Stone is a certified professional coach, a speaker, a facilitator, and the founder of InterVision Group, LLC. In addition to her role as President of InterVision Group, Debby is the co-founder of Corner Office Coaching, which brings life to the practice of law through coaching and workshops tailored to the legal community. She is also the co-founder of GROWE, a mentoring organization dedicated to entrepreneurial success.
As a coach, Debby uses a values-based approach and works with lawyers, leaders and entrepreneurs who want to discover and implement practical strategies for success. As a speaker, she provides engaging keynotes and presentations on topics such as leadership, life integration, happiness, time management, and networking. As a facilitator, Debby creates and facilitates interactive workshops and retreats focusing on strategic planning, skill-building, and improving the effectiveness of individuals and teams. In everything she does, Debby combines her coach training, extensive business experience, and entrepreneurial creativity to help her clients attain their goals more quickly and easily.
Debby earned her certification as a professional co-active coach through the Coaches Training Institute and is accredited through the International Coach Federation as a Professional Certified Coach. She has also completed training in Organization and Relationship Systems Coaching through the Coaches Training Institute and the Center for Right Relationship. Prior to becoming a coach in 2002, Debby spent over 16 years practicing law, both at a large Atlanta firm and in her own firm, Stone Law Associates, Inc. She has also worked as a management consultant at Bain & Company and in human resources for Contel Service Corporation. Debby received her undergraduate degree magna cum laude from the Institute of Policy Sciences at Duke University and received her Juris Doctorate with high honors from the Duke University School of Law.
Debby is active in the business community as well. She is a member of the International Coach Federation and its local chapter, the Georgia Coach Association, where she currently serves on the Board as Co-President. She also currently serves on the Board of Advisors for ProWIN, an Atlanta-based entrepreneurial women's organization, where she served as President from 2004-2006. Debby was recently honored as a 2008 Phenomenal Woman of North Fulton by the American Business Women's Association. She is a member of the Atlanta Advisory Board for the Women's Leadership Exchange, and is an active member of the Georgia Association for Women Lawyers. Debby has also served as a mentor in the Pathbuilders Achieva program (formerly Georgia 100).
Debby has been quoted in The Wall Street Journal, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Atlanta Business Chronicle, Atlanta Woman and other publications. She is also a senior editor and contributing writer for The Complete Lawyer e-zine, has been a columnist for several Atlanta area periodicals, and created and hosted "Practical Strategies for Business Success" on AM 1620 Radio Sandy Springs.
Debby contributes her time to several non-profit organizations and enjoys making jewelry and reading novels. She is also an avid Duke basketball fan. Debby lives in a suburb of Atlanta with her husband, fifteen year old son, and three cats.
