Craig Lynar - Marketing Executive: High-Tech Hardware and Software

As a results driven marketing executive for over 18 years in the high technology industry, Craig Lynar has lead global marketing teams in both Fortune 500-2000 and start-up companies to exceed their growth targets by developing strategic go-to-market strategies, driving effective pipeline generating programs, and introducing stellar customer based product solutions with strong differentiated corporate branding and awareness programs. He is a marketing expert adept at global field marketing while managing both corporate and product marketing teams. A team builder skilled at growing small teams to overseeing large, diverse, geographically distributed teams focused on both international and domestic marketing initiatives. Mr. Lynar was a key participant in two IPOs and three acquisitions (TeleAtlas' purchase of Etak from Sony, Polycom's purchase of Voyant and of Destiny Systems). 

He has a successful track record in building global marketing and product marketing organizations in high-growth companies across a broad range of sales channels and business models.  Mr. Lynar has created and executed successful brand, product, and field marketing lead generation programs in Business to Business and Business to Consumer markets including Consumer and Enterprise software, Audio, Web, and Video Conferencing, Telepresence, Location Based Services, mobile applications, and PC peripheral hardware products.

Most recently, while Vice President of Global Solutions Marketing at Polycom, Mr. Lynar drove the generation of a new Video Telepresence product line through market business planning, product definition and launch and ultimately to an acquisition that today accounts in excess of the company's overall revenues.  Recognizing the need for deeper customer relationships in the increasingly competitive telepresence market, Mr. Lynar generated multiple customer-demand driving initiatives, including a "Voice of the Customer" program, a Global Solutions Marketing program and customer "Executive Advisory Councils" around the world. 

Prior to Polycom, Mr. Lynar was a marketing executive for two start-ups, Computer Access Technology Corporation and MediaWay, where he helped create or realign strategies while building the field marketing, inbound product marketing and product management functions.  At these companies, and at Polycom, he streamlined marketing processes and budgets, reducing costs through tight management of complex plans, ROI scrutiny and process efficiency improvements. 

During his tenure as Vice President Marketing for Sony/Etak, Mr. Lynar drove corporate marketing, product marketing and product management for multiple divisions.  He built a global team bringing products based on mapping and GPS technologies with location based mobile services to the consumer market.

A technically savvy and an adept public speaker, Mr. Lynar is a key participant in these company's IPO, investor and media tours.

Mr. Lynar holds an Applied Science degree in Electronic Engineering and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management and Marketing. He has also completed a Stanford University Executive Program - Market Strategy for Technology Based Companies.
