Meet Carl Lane...

Speed Trainer

Carl Lane is quickly making a name for himself as one of the top speed trainers in the South.  Carl, along with Marvin Hollis, co-founded Leg Up Speed & Core Training in Peachtree City, Georgia.

Leg Up works with aspiring athletes who want to become faster, stronger, and quicker in their sport.  They specialize in combine preparation, and core strengthening.  Unlike traditional programs, Leg Up leads with academics first!  All student-athletes are assessed and interviewed before being taken on as pupils.

Leg Up Speed Training was developed to maximize an athlete’s potential (both on the field and in the classroom), and assists them in securing scholarships.  "One of the things we do different, is that we prepare these athletes for their camps and combines.  Every kid won't be a starter, but like the SAT, with good scores they open up doors"  says Carl.

By the looks of their clients achievements, the training is working!

Leg Up currently has successful clients in High School, College, and the Professional ranks.

Entrepreneur

Carl Lane can twice add business owner to his resume, but no endeavor moves him like the program he helped found in 2005.  That program is called “Out Of The Box” (OOTB), a Youth Financial Literacy program.  Carl serves as the Program Director.  OOTB has been recognized as one of the most dynamic youth financial literacy programs in the country.  In 2008, OOTB plans to reach over 3000 teens!

OOTB is a non-profit organization that aligns itself with local businesses and banking institutions, and introduces them to their local youth to create more responsible financial stewards.  OOTB to date has partnered with the likes of Washington Mutual, JP Morgan Chase, Wal-Mart, Xerox, Owens Corning, and motivational speaker Les Brown.

Carl states, “We understand that many of life’s problems stem from money issues.  The principles of good stewardship are not popularized in the videos, and unfortunately are not taught in school.  We have assembled a team that has developed an engaging curriculum that creatively bridges today’s actions into tomorrow’s results.  Our curriculum is interactive, measureable, and most of all fun!  Money is seed, and we teach kids how to get it, plant it, and cultivate it.”

The OOTB program addresses current economic issues and has been extremely successful in empowering youth.  The graduates leave the program with a bank account, along with knowledge in Banking, Budgeting, Investing, Credit Management, and Entrepreneurship.
