Candace Dubrof has been designing customized home organization and storage solutions since 2001. She is currently affiliated with Closets and More, Atlanta's largest and only locally owned custom storage provider. Candace has designed over 1,000 spaces and has worked with such prestigious home builders as Monte Hewett Homes, Linda Martin Trademark Homes, and The Providence Group.
With a passion to service the growing older adult population, Candace earned the designation of a Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS), created by the National Association of Home Builders. Candace’s experience in designing home organization and storage solutions and her CAPS training enables her to provide comprehensive solutions for comfortable living for present and future homeowner needs.
Candace ‘s firm, The Third Act Advisory Group, creates aging-in-place plans for older adults. Aging-in-place plans provide a comprehensive approach toward continued living at home. According to AARP, 83% of middle-aged Americans wish to live in their homes indefinitely. Simply, aging-in-place means remaining in one’s home safely, independently, and comfortably, regardless of age, income or ability level.
The Third Act Advisory Group creates home remodeling and home safety plans to enhance and enable aging-in-place. Each client receives a written plan with recommendations and resources tailored to the client’s needs and desires.
Candace combines 15 years of project and and line management with a decade of successful design experience to translate the objectives of her clients to the technical language of service providers. Candace has also completed courses in One-day Makeovers and Real Estate Staging given by the Interior Arrangement and Design Association that bring practical solutions to older adult home interiors. Fluent in Spanish, Candace is well-placed to implement those needs and desires.
Candace and her husband Bob live in Atlanta with their four-legged child Max. She is an active member of PowerCore , Atlanta Women in Business, Ewomen’s Network, the National Aging In Place Council and The Universal Design Alliance. Candace is also a member of several local senior provider organizations and is a charter member of the Senior Alliance Resource Group. Candace earned her B.A. from Birmingham-Southern College and her M.Ed. from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
