Born on a cold, December afternoon in Birmingham, Alabama. Bonnie came in at the end of a long line of baby-boomers. As a member of one of the original families to settle in what became the state of Alabama. Bonnie spent her time between the city of Birmingham and the agricultural area of Chilton County, Alabama. She grew to enjoy the education found in both books and nature. A graduate of Banks High School, Bonnie enjoyed addtional activities in the Thespian Society and Future Speakers of America. She went on to receive degrees from Enterprise State Junior College and is a Cum Laude Graduate of Troy State University. She married and traveled with her army husband through Europe and several stateside postings for more than fifteen years. Her husband, John, a decorated Viet Nam Veteran and retired Army Helicopter Instructor pilot is also a change mangement consulting professional which makes for interesting and often entertaining debates at home. Bonnie is also proud of her three children and seven grandchildren.
Bonnie believes in giving back to her communities with memberships with the Marietta Business Association, Cobb County Chamber of Commerce, and serving as the Special Events Chairmen for NAWBO Bonnie has found pleasure in meeting and working with businesses throughout the area. She is currently involved in a program to raise funds for the Georgia Cancer Foundation through the "Right Step for the Cure Program" sponsored by BDH Solutions LLC.
Past work experiences have included more than twenty-five years as a consultant to small and large business including companies such as Winn Dixie Grocery. She began as a marketing and advertising consultant and was one of the pioneers of local cable advertising in the 1980's. Her production company 'Cable Connections" took Addy Awards for automobile advertising from the Dothan Advertising Council. After the sell of her business Bonnie returned to Troy State University to add to her education and business knowledge. Credits include studies in Secondary Education, English, Journalism, Business and Economics. This led to consulting to retail firms and small business. Her outlook on life that she follows daily is one must never stop learning and changing through constant education.
Outside of the work arena Bonnie loves to create floral arrangements and is certified as a florist. She also loves to travel and has been a platium Delta member until 2007 when she settled down to concentrate on her business and family. She and John often cruise the Caribbean and enjoy swimming with Dolphins and snorkeling in general. The couple also enjoy good food and jazz. Nothing is as much fun as a great dinner, a good play at the Fox Theatre and great music and coffee afterwards. A series of pets have strolled through Bonnie's life mainly cats but also a favorite Black Lab and funky little mutt.
