Mr. Burks is currently the Chief Executive Officer and Controlling Principal of two companies, Dale Carnegie of Georgia and Barclay Group of Affiliated Companies. Dale Carnegie of Georgia is a world-renowned training and consulting firm specializing in providing professional development for many of America’s most successful institutions. Carnegie’s list of clients includes such organizations as Home Depot, Delta Airlines, Verizon and Centers for Disease Control.

Barclay Group of Affiliated Companies was founded by Mr. Burks in 1998 with the mission of providing quality affordable housing in the developing world market. The company has worked in Africa, India and Jamaica. Most recently, the group completed 171 solutions near Kingston Jamaica. Both Barclay Group and Carnegie are headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia. Barclay Group also maintains offices in Kingston, Jamaica and Chennai, India.

The Barclay Group has recently launched a new venture to develop rural roadways in conjunction with its affordable housing projects. The company has gained exclusive access to cost effective technologies that will revolutionize road construction in more remote locations. The first such project is now in negotiation with the government of Afghanistan.

Prior to formation of these two groups, Mr. Burks served as President and Chief Executive for two international based material and mining operations. In these capacities, he was involved as a major material supplier for such projects as the Twin-Towers project in Kuala Lampur, the Mall of the Americas in Minneapolis, and the Epcot Dome in Disney World of Florida.

Mr. Burks is a cum laude graduate of the University of North Carolina with a Bachelor of Science in Anthropology, and sits on numerous Advisory Councils affiliated with both the United Nations and the United States Government. Included among them are the International Cooperation Council, Chaired by Ambassador Andrew Young and the Overseas Private Investment Cooperation.
